Gone in 9 seconds.

Something stupid just happened…

I saw an article that a startup named PocketOS just has their entire software database erased by AI.

And the backups, too.

WTF.

I used to work in IT and it blows my mind that someone in their IT department thought backups on the same system was a smart move.

But you know what?

In marketing, I see the same thing happening:

People who should know better than to trust their marketing to AI are doing just that.

“It’s good enough. Ship it.”

Terrible mentality.

Not because the copy or images aren’t good enough.

They might be “great” in theory.

But they’re also so polished free of any humanity, of any personality, that they don’t really land.

Example:

I’m on an email list and I can’t tell you how many times this guy sends emails that include:

• That’s the play.

• That’s the move.

• That’s the entire game.

Once I noticed this pattern, I stopped reading his emails.

Because while the advice might be decent, I don’t think he really cares for his audience at that point.

And when your audience doesn’t think you care?

They’re gone.

Are you taking that risk?

Love you,
