East of the Mississippi
Heading north for the long weekend.
And I’m wondering what books to bring.
I’m on chapter 5 of Eugene Schwartz’ Brilliance Breakthrough and that’s definitely coming with.
But overall, just as I (mostly) stopped joining courses earlier this year, I’ve slowed on the copy books, too.
I still pull them off the shelf.
Constantly.
But they’re repeating ideas I already know.
(Kyle Milligan’s Take their Money was a recent, worthwhile reread.)
But what I need to spend more time doing is reading fiction…
And winning sales letters…
And reading fewer books about winning sales letters.
Straight to the source, if you will.
And hand-copy them too, I suppose.
What are your plans this weekend?
Love you,
Jeffrey
PS. After writing that just now… I decided my book for this long weekend.
Virgil’s Aeneid.
I picked it up when I read the Iliad and the Odyssey earlier this year.
But I haven’t cracked into it yet.
And it seems like a rainy weekend kinda thing.
