Modern stories revolve around the Good Guys and the Bad Guys, Us vs. Them. But stories weren’t always so polarizing, or so clear who was on which side. The Good Guy/ Bad Guy structure is so strong in our culture that it’s our fallback reasoning— if they have a different idea than me, they must be evil.
