  • Tiny minority driving everyone’s anxiety

Crazy to think that 0.01% of people use AI.

    2:19pm
    Saint Paul

I saw a stat that 0.01% of people use AI.

If you spend any time on LinkedIn, it seems to be everywhere.

And it has a lot of people scared that AI is coming for their job.

And hell, it might be, I don’t know.

It does get better every day…

…when it’s not erasing people’s emails and suggesting we launch the nukes #truestory

But I do know that FEAR is a huge motivator.

  • How I use AI (and why)

Not sure if you spend any time on LinkedIn, but there seems to be a lot of marketers there.

And of the marketers who post, they tend to fall into two camps:

One camp that posts plenty of AI content, often from other creators, and talks about how game-changing AI is––and maybe you want to buy their course.

And one camp that doesn’t want anything to do with AI.

I have a more nuanced take, which of course isn’t polarizing enough to gain much traction.

  • Umm, ahh, oops: The case for awkward interviews

    9:05am
    Saint Paul

I saw a video on LinkedIn just now where a woman walks through ehr video production using AI.

And one of the first things she mentions is how the AI tool can remove filler words.

The umms… The ahhs… and whatnot.

I used to do this for my Persuasion Play Podcast episodes.

    Remove filler words. Shorten silences.

It added hours to my work. Like, 3x the length of the recording. So a 1 hour interview took an additional 3 hours or so. Before adding slides, splicing in the introduction and theme song, and writing show notes.

And today, AI can do it all for me?

    Great, I’ll pass. Here’s why.

I’m working on promotions for The Secrets of Emotional, Hot-Button Copywriting.

And I’m trying to think up some good bonuses for you, too.

As a writer, I like to write.

But I know plenty of people think AI is amazing and takes a lot of work off their shoulders.

    So, my question to you:

    Hindsight, huh.

So when I see these “jump on the AI SaaS bandwagon and get rich!” posts, I wonder…
