(Check out the PS for some fun news coming soon!)
Heya summer break is over and the kids are back to school!
We spent Labor Day weekend at my in-laws, fishing, cleaning gutters, and cleaning fish.
That’s a new skill for me: cleaning fish.
And after years of removing the fillets on these Wisconsin weekends, I was finally given the chance to do the main work.
I felt like Karate Kid: do the simple things a million times before the next step.
That’s why I still practice bullets, study sales copy, test new angles, etc.
Now, someone asked me recently about a good course for writing email copy.
I gave him a few resources. But you know what?
It’s not the knowing.
Lots of people know things.
It’s the application of your knowledge, over and over again.
“I fear not the man who has practiced 1000 kicks one time, but the man who has practiced one kick 1000 times”
I’m no Bruce Lee. But to fillet a fish, you gotta stay sharp.

PS I’m helping release a long-lost classic book on copywriting: Denny Hatch’s “Secrets of Emotional, Hot-Button Copywriting.“
It’s packed with Grand Control examples of the 7 emotional drivers that get people to take action.
Because if you study copy, it’s important that you study winning copy.
More info to come—including how you can get your own copy of this book for FREE.
