Easier than Impulse Control

Saturday night, Uber sent a notification to my phone:

“Courier makes Black Friday returns easy.”

LMAO they’re capitalizing on people’s bad impulse control.

Oh, me?

You’re asking about my BFCM spending after I swore I wasn’t going to buy anything?

Good news!

I…

Bought…

Veryfewthings.

And they were gifts for others.

Not another course for myself.*

Not any unneeded doohickeys that I have to pay Uber to return for me.

And definitely not whatever specials were brewing in my inbox.

In fact, I intentionally tried to stay away from email over that Thanksgiving weekend…

Because I am weak and can’t easily say no to a good offer.

Yes, I don’t always have great impulse control. #knowthyself

But do you know what’s stronger than will power?

Putting yourself in an environment where will power and impulse control aren’t even part of the equation.

But I am curious if YOU got anything good or worthwhile?

Help me live through you. Write back and lemme know.

Jeffrey

* Yes, I did not get another course…

Except that Creators Calling series that I grabbed before BFCM –– which isn’t at all about Creativity, it turns out, but succeeding in the Creator Economy.

The sales trainings and “how to get endless referrals” sessions have been very insightful.

The event isn’t over and if you want to join us, the recordings are available for a few weeks yet. Click here to get started:
