A song for YOU

Is there a song dedicated to YOU on Spotify?

I just finished reading an article from the New York Times Magazine about a musician, Matt Farley, who records hundreds of songs each year.

Songs about cities. Songs about poop. Songs about… you?

This massive output earns Farley some $200,000 in streaming royalties.

“If you reject your own ideas, then the part of the brain that comes up with ideas is going to stop,” he said in this NYTimes Magazine interview. “You just do it and do it and do it, and you sort it out later.”

Good advice. One reason why I write this email, write books, and write for clients. Not every idea is good—many are—but they can all be tested.
